Welcome
"Feeling real is more than existing; it is finding a way to exist as oneself" ~ Donald Winnicott
I am a registered psychologist with AHPRA in Australia and the HPCSA in South Africa. I hold a masters degree in counselling psychology and have 15+ years experience in helping people to deal with life challenges and developmental problems to optimise psychological well-being. I have experience in working with a variety of people from various cultural and social backgrounds. I work together with a client to process feelings, develop self understanding and build connections to different parts of the self. This aims to alleviate distress as well as to provide different ways of thinking, being and relating to the self and others.
The decision to start therapy may not be easy; it takes courage to face painful feelings. This is why therapists place great importance on creating a confidential and safe space for clients to express their feelings openly. My aim is to provide a safe space to help you get to know yourself with empathy and compassion. A person who enters therapy should be able to express all their emotional feelings, doubts and questions.
I offer face to face appointments in Buderim, Sunshine Coast as well as telehealth/online appointments through Zoom or Power Diary secure online platform.
Some common concerns I assist with include:
